DECoN (Democracy and Election Concern Nepal) is a registered alliance of the civil society organizations active both at the national and sub- national levels and the citizen stakeholders who hold interests and stakes in participatory democracy, electoral institutions, free and fair polls and strengthening of democratic polity in the country. At the apex of the organization is its national committee -the decision making body- of the Alliance which is headed by Mr. Neel Kantha Uprety, former chief election commissioner of Nepal. DECoN has district level network members in almost all 77 districts in Nepal. It has an advisory body comprising of distinguished persons and civil society leaders having acknowledge expertise in the areas of local governance among others. The Alliance conducts its activities through several sub committees and panels. It has a roster of local governance, elections and champions of marginalized group.

DECoN delivers results through the core strategic actions: capacity building, training and empowerment; civic and Voter Education; research studies and documentation; advocacy and so on.
Federal State of Nepal shall be a democratically governed inclusive state where citizens are empowered, active and responsible and periodic elections across all levels are free and fair.
